FPIs sell ₹3 lakh cr in secondary market, invest ₹55,000 cr in primary market in 2026

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold ₹3 lakh crore in India's secondary market, while investing ₹55,000 crore in primary market in 2026, Moneycontrol reported. However, in 2024 FPI inflow into primary market and selling in secondary market was ₹1.2 lakh crore each. Primary market buying fell to ₹73,910 crore in 2025, while selling in secondary market rose to ₹2.4 lakh crore.
