FPIs sell ₹45,276 cr in May, 2nd highest outflow since Mar 2020
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) withdrew net ₹45,276 crore in May 2022, the second highest monthly foreign investment outflow since March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic had triggered a nationwide lockdown. The outflow in May also marks the eighth consecutive month when FPIs have remained net sellers. FPIs have withdrawn approximately net ₹2.5 lakh crore since October 2021.
