France demands UNSC meet after UN peacekeepers attacked in Lebanon

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot condemned Israel's recent attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon and called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. "Such attacks in the vicinity of peacekeepers' positions are unacceptable and unjustifiable," Barrot wrote on X. Notably, three UN peacekeepers were recently killed in two separate incidents in southern Lebanon.
