France football accuses Infantino of damaging sport's image, withdraws support

The French Football Federation (FFF) has withdrawn its support for Gianni Infantino's bid for re-election as FIFA President next year. Infantino's "recent initiatives have seriously damaged the image and unity of football", the FFF said in a statement. Notably, Infantino faced massive criticism over his now-abandoned World Cup stake sale plan.
