France imposes third national lockdown amid rising COVID-19 cases

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that a 'limited lockdown' will be imposed across the nation and schools would be closed for three weeks. From Saturday night and for the next four weeks, travel restrictions will be imposed across the country and non-essential shops will close in line with measures already implemented in COVID-19 hotspots such as Paris, he said.
