France sought ban on Romanian right-wing voices before poll: Durov

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov revealed that French intelligence service chief Nicolas Lerner asked the platform to ban Romanian conservative voices ahead of Romania’s Presidential elections. Durov said the request was denied, adding, "We didn’t block protesters in Russia, Belarus or Iran. We won’t start in Europe." Notably, centrist Nicușor Dan won the polls, defeating far-right leader George Simion.
