France to confer top civilian honour on ex-Indian envoy Jawed Ashraf
The French government will honour former Indian Ambassador to France (2020-2024) Jawed Ashraf with Commander of the Legion of Honour, a top French civilian award, for his role in advancing India-France strategic ties. The insignia will be conferred at a ceremony in New Delhi on March 18. Ashraf, a 1991-batch IFS officer, has also served as High Commissioner to Singapore.
