France to probe mistreatment of activists on Gaza-bound flotilla

France's Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said the country will investigate mistreatment of French nationals who were on the Gaza-bound flotilla. "Our Consul General in Turkey informed me of sexual violence, exposure to cold, beatings, and repeated humiliation [which] constitute criminal offenses," he added. The activists were detained by Israeli authorities while trying to bring aid to Gaza.
