France won't take part in ops to liberate Strait of Hormuz: Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday said the country would never ​take part in operations to liberate the ‌Strait of Hormuz. "Once the main bombing ⁠has ​ceased, we are ready, along ​with other nations, to assume responsibility for the escort system," Macron added. Speaking about the war, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz had earlier said, "This war isn't a NATO matter."
