Fraudsters steal money using Aadhaar biometrics data in Bihar

A recent case in Purnia, Bihar, revealed a new cyber scam where criminals used hacked Aadhaar biometric data from land records to steal money via the Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS). This method bypasses traditional security measures like OTPs and phone calls. Bihar police arrested eight individuals and advised using virtual IDs and linked contact details to secure Aadhaar transactions.
