Free Rs 1.5 lakh treatment within 1st 60 mins of accident

The Union Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) plans to introduce the 'golden hour' to ensure prompt treatment for road accident victims. Under this initiative, victims will receive free cashless treatment up to Rs 1.5 lakh or 7 days of hospitalization within the first 60 minutes of the accident. A pilot scheme in Haryana and Chandigarh has been planned.
