Free sanitary pads distributed by Raj govt found low quality, Gehlot condemns

Free sanitary napkins distributed by the Rajasthan government under the Udaan scheme were found substandard, according to Dainik Bhaskar. The pads weighed only 5.4 grams compared to the optimal 8-10 grams and were also thinner and less absorbent than normal. "The current BJP government is indulging in corruption in this important scheme," Congress leader and former CM Ashok Gehlot said.
