Fremont-based Moximed seeks FDA approval for knee 'shock absorber'
Fremont-based Moximed has asked the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to approve its MISHA Knee System, the world's first implantable shock absorber for the knee. Moximed said it doesn't expect an FDA decision until the first half of 2023. Implanted during an outpatient procedure, the system alleviates pain and potentially delays the need for total knee replacement in some patients.
