French Assembly passes bill allowing assisted dying for terminally ill adults

French National Assembly adopted a bill allowing assisted dying for adults with incurable diseases. Under the law, French citizens or legal residents aged 18 or above can receive lethal substances upon request under strict conditions. The substance must be self-administered and can be administered by a doctor only if the patient's physical condition does not allow them to do so.
