French govt could face no-confidence motion over heatwave handling
French PM Sébastien Lecornu's minority government could face a no-confidence motion over its handling of the record heatwave in France, which led to 1,000 excess deaths. The Green Party lawmakers announced that they will put forward the vote. The motion is, however, unlikely to succeed without the backing of other opposition parties, including the far-right National Rally or the Socialists.
