French PM Edouard Philippe resigns as Prez plans govt reshuffle

French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and his government have tendered their resignation ahead of a government reshuffle. President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday said that the next phase of his presidency will have a new government team and "new goals of independence, reconstruction and reconciliation". This comes after Macron's party La République En Marche lost the municipal elections on June 28.
