French winemakers use candles, heaters to save vines

Winemakers are using candles and heaters to save vines from sharp spring frosts in some of the most famous winemaking regions in France, including Champagne and Bordeaux. Temperatures plunged last week, following which some winemakers even used the down-draught from helicopters. Notably, France's total wine output fell 10% in 2016 because of adverse weather conditions.
