French firm Électricité de France (EDF) has submitted a fresh techno-commercial proposal to state-run Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) for building six nuclear reactors of 1,650 MW capacity each in Jaitapur, Maharashtra. EDF officials said they have also raised "concerns" regarding Indian liability laws for damages in case of a nuclear accident.
