Frog found only in Andaman mates upside down, scientists release footage
A team of biologists from India and the US has found a unique reproductive behaviour in Minervarya Charlesdarwini frog found in Andaman Islands. Both the male and female Charles Darwin frogs position themselves upside down from walls of tree cavities, while their bodies remain entirely out of water. Once laid, the hatchlings eventually drop into water below, the study suggests.
