From Dibrugarh to Cannes: Urmimala & Snigdha Baruah make history

Models Urmimala and Snigdha Baruah made history at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 as the first mother-daughter pair to walk to red carpet together. The duo, coming from Dibrugarh, stunned in dresses that represented their local craftsmanship. Urmimala's gown was inspired by banyan trees, symbolising connection and strength. Snigdha's dress was made using bamboo, an abundant plant in Assam.
