FSSAI has issued notices to alcoholic beverage manufacturers over alleged violations involving added flavours and misleading age claims on spirit labels. Companies have been asked to explain why action should not be taken. The regulator said labels must reflect the youngest spirit in a blend and comply with existing food safety regulations.
