FSSAI initiates legal action against Nestlé India over promotional claims for baby products

FSSAI initiated legal action against Nestlé India after examining its infant nutrition products & their promotional material available on e-commerce platforms. It raised concerns over claims of "5 HMOs" (Human Milk Oligosaccharides) and "Whey Protein" in NAN Excella Pro Stage 1. It flagged "easy-to-digest" whey protein claim in Lactogen Pro 1. A sample of follow-up formula was found sub-standard.
