FSSAI issues notice to Mapro Foods over hygiene violations

FSSAI has issued a formal notice to Mapro Foods after an inspection of its Valvan unit in Maharashtra's Lonavala found multiple violations of prescribed hygiene and sanitary requirements. The regulator has initiated adjudication proceedings that could lead to a penalty under the Food Safety and Standards Act. No product recall, licence suspension, closure or penalty has been announced so far.
