FSSAI looking to make licensing mandatory for Zomato, Swiggy

FSSAI is looking to make licensing mandatory for Zomato, Swiggy, Uber Eats, among others, to ensure that food delivery platforms are complying with all FSSAI rules. FSSAI is planning to replace a year-on-year license renewal requirement with a one-time license by giving perpetual licenses for food businesses to ease the process. The food business currently get licensing for 1-5 years.
