FSSAI has directed food safety authorities across all states and UTs to intensify surveillance ahead of the festive season. Inspections will target adulterated sweets, dairy, snacks, and edible oils. Mobile labs (Food Safety on Wheels) will be deployed in key markets for on-spot testing. All inspection data must be uploaded to FoSCoS/FoSCoRIS in real time.
