FSSAI orders quick commerce apps to show expiry dates for items like 'goods in shops'

FSSAI has ordered that products on quick commerce platforms and apps must show their expiry date from September 30 onwards, NDTVProfit reported. "Just like we check [dates] and take goods from a shop, the same will be visible and purchasable online too," FSSAI CEO Rajit Punhani said. He added that no expired items will be sold on quick commerce platforms.
