FSSAI suspends licence of Westend Agro for altering expiry dates

Food safety regulator FSSAI has suspended the licence of Westend Agro Products with immediate effect after an inspection uncovered multiple violations. It said inspectors discovered several food products carrying altered manufacturing dates, expiry dates, batch numbers and label declarations. They seized materials carrying misleading declarations, including claims that products were "organic".
