FSSAI testing AI tool to detect food safety violations on e-commerce apps

India's food safety regulator, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), is testing an AI-based tool to flag food safety violations on e-commerce platforms. "We have a collaboration with MeitY, where the AI tool will automatically inform us of any violations," the FSSAI CEO added. The move follows the rapid expansion of online food sales, and cloud kitchens.
