FTC withdraws antitrust complaint against Meta for Within takeover
US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on Friday said it has withdrawn the antitrust complaint against Meta's purchase of virtual reality (VR) startup Within Unlimited. Earlier this month, a US judge denied FTC's request to stop the acquisition. FTC sued Meta in July 2022, arguing the deal would "tend to create a monopoly". The deal was reportedly worth about $400 million.
