Fugitive Mehul Choksi spotted in Belgium, CBI seeks his detention: Report

Mehul Choksi, fugitive diamantaire accused in the over ₹13,000-crore PNB scam, has been spotted in Belgium, ET reported. Choksi, now an Antigua resident, travelled to Belgium for medical treatment. CBI has sought immediate detention of Choksi with Belgium seeking a formal extradition request. Probability of Choksi fleeing to neighbouring European countries is very high, a government official said.
