Full 'Vande Mataram' recital at Kerala oath event triggers row

Left parties CPI and CPI(M) have criticised full recital of national song 'Vande Mataram' at the Congress-led UDF Cabinet swearing-in ceremony in Kerala. They said some lines of 'Vande Mataram' were removed as those lines weren't compatible with Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a secular nation. The BJP accused CPI and CPI(M) of "insulting" the national song.
