Full UN membership for Palestine won't help it with statehood: US

US Ambassador to UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, said that a UN resolution granting Palestine full membership wouldn't help lead to a two-state solution, which would grant Palestine statehood. She said US President Joe Biden had stated that Washington supported a two-state solution and was working towards it. Earlier, a United Nations Security Council committee failed to reach consensus on the issue.
