Gabbard introduces bill to ban trans athletes from women's sports

US lawmaker Tulsi Gabbard introduced a bill into the House of Representatives that would stop the federal funding of schools if they permit transgender girls and women and non-binary people to compete in women's sports. Gabbard said the bill ensures "equality & a level playing field for girls & women competing in sports". Transgender activists termed the bill as "transphobic".
