Galwan Valley martyr Col Santosh Babu to be awarded Maha Vir Chakra

Colonel B Santosh Babu of 16 Bihar Battalion, who was martyred in a clash with Chinese troops in Eastern Ladakh's Galwan Valley in June, will be awarded Maha Vir Chakra posthumously, the Defence Ministry announced on Monday. He was among the 20 Indian soldiers who were martyred in the clash. Maha Vir Chakra is the second-highest military decoration in India.
