Ganga water at Maha Kumbh was fit for bathing: Central body's new report

A new Central Pollution Control Board report has stated that as per statistical analysis, Ganga water quality during Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj was fit for bathing. CPCB said the analysis was done because of variability of data in samples collected from same and different places across different dates. Earlier, CPCB flagged high levels of faecal coliform bacteria in the water.
