Gangotri National Highway blocked after heavy rain causes landslide

The Gangotri National Highway was blocked on Tuesday after heavy rainfall triggered a landslide in the Sunagar region of Uttarkashi district, the district administration officials said. The highway has been blocked for over 13 hours due to the landslide. The Border Roads Organisation was unable to open the highway immediately due to lack of a Poclain Machine, BRO said.
