Gangster accused of raping & killing 12-year-old girl killed in police encounter in UP

A gangster named Monu, accused in the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl, was shot dead in a police encounter in UP's Bulandshahr on Sunday morning. Police said the suspects opened fire when asked to stop, prompting retaliatory firing. Monu had seven criminal cases and carried a reward of ₹50,000. His accomplice fled and the number-plate-less bike was seized.
