Gangster-politician Anand Mohan, convicted of IAS officer's killing, released from jail

Gangster-turned-politician Anand Mohan Singh was released from Bihar's Saharsa jail on Thursday after the state government tweaked prison rules. The amended rules allow remission to those convicted of murdering a public servant on duty. Anand Mohan was serving a life sentence for inciting a mob to lynch Gopalganj District Magistrate G Krishnaiah in 1994.
