Gap's India-born CEO Sonia Syngal steps down after over two years

American clothing retail company Gap's India-born President and CEO Sonia Syngal is stepping down from her position just over two years into the role. The 52-year-old was appointed as CEO in March 2020. The company did not provide a reason for her sudden exit. Gap's Executive Chairman Bob Martin will step in as interim CEO effective immediately, the company said.
