Gartner says only 5% of automakers will sustain AI push by 2029

Gartner said automotive AI euphoria will fade, with only 5% of automakers sustaining major AI investments by 2029, down from over 95% today. Firms with strong software foundations, tech-savvy leadership, and long-term strategies will outperform peers. The report also forecasts at least one fully automated vehicle-assembly line by 2030.
