Gates Foundation exits Microsoft, sells remaining stake for ₹30,700 crore

Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates' charity Gates Foundation no longer owns a single share in the company. The foundation sold its remaining stake of 7.7 million shares worth $3.2 billion (₹30,700 crore). Until last year, it held 28.5 million Microsoft shares, worth $10.7 billion. The move aligns with Gates' plan to spend down the foundation's assets and shut it by 2045.
