Gauri Lankesh murder accused Shrikant joins Shiv Sena ahead of Maha polls

Shrikant Pangarkar, an accused in the 2017 murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh, has joined the Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena ahead of state Assembly elections. "Pangarkar is a former Shiv Sainik...He's been nominated as the chief of...Jalna Assembly poll campaign," party leader Arjun Khotkar said. He was granted bail by Karnataka High Court last month.
