Gay dating app Grindr sued in UK for sharing data about users' HIV

Grindr has been sued in London after users alleged the gay dating app shared their highly sensitive information, including HIV status, with third parties without consent. The app strongly refuted the claims, stating that it has never sold or used user-reported health information for commercial purposes. Notably, 670 people have reportedly supported the lawsuit over breaches from 2018 to 2020.
