GCCs in India may cut 30,000 jobs this fiscal year: Report

India's global capability centres (GCCs) could cut around 25,000-30,000 routine jobs this fiscal year as AI boosts productivity and companies streamline operations, ET reported. The reduction represents about 1% of the sector's workforce. GCCs continue to be the biggest driver of tech hiring in India and could well generate 1,50,000 new jobs during the current fiscal year.
