GE to cut 1,000 jobs in LM Wind Power, may impact Indians: Report

US' General Electric (GE) is planning to cut 1,000 jobs across functions and geographies in its renewable energy unit LM Wind Power, Moneycontrol reported. The move will likely affect LM's Indian staff too as the downsizing begins in the coming weeks. LM CEO Olivier Fontan had said in January that the company plans to be leaner and more profitable.
