Geely, Mercedes to relaunch two-seater smart #2 EV in 2026

Smart, the Mercedes-Geely JV, will launch two-seat Smart #2 EV in late 2026 as the successor to its iconic ForTwo. Designed by Mercedes and built by Geely in China, the A-segment car will be sold in China, Europe and overseas. It joins Smart's #1, #3, and #5 lineup, priced from 154,900-368,000 yuan. Geely's US-listed stock is up 37% in 2025.
