General Motors to lay off hundreds of employees in Israel

General Motors (GM), a US-based global automobile giant is planning to cut hundreds of jobs in Israel following the shutdown of its autonomous vehicle subsidiary, Cruise. The General Motor layoffs will be a part of GM's ongoing global efforts of restructuring its business amid slowdown in electric vehicle (EVs) sales.
