GeoGuessr has officially withdrawn from the Esports World Cup after a massive fan protest that lasted less than 24 hours. On May 22 at 4 am ET, CEO and co-founder Daniel Antell announced the decision via GeoGuessr’s social media. With 85 million users, the popular game challenges players to guess random global locations.
