German artist Tim Bengel creates art using sand and glue. He covers a blank canvas with a special slow-drying adhesive and then adds black sand, and sometimes gold, to the canvas in a planned-out design, adding the grains individually using a fine scalpel. He said his artwork generally takes a month, or 80 hours to create.
