Germany lifts ban on travellers from delta variant-hit India, 4 other countries

Germany has lifted a ban on the travellers from India, the UK, Nepal, Russia and Portugal, where the delta variant of coronavirus has been found in the samples of COVID-19 patients. The Robert Koch Institute, a German federal government agency, said that the five nations have been downgraded to "high-incidence areas" from the current categorisation of "areas of variant concern".
